Description: Applications are invited for a post-doc position in electrophysiology as a part of our multidisciplinary project involving several laboratories (chemistry, biology, bio- & microelectronics and medicine) at the Universities of Bordeaux. The aim of the project is to record and analyze the electrical activity of pancreatic beta cells maintained in long-term culture on microelectrode arrays (MEAs). Processing of the electrophysiological signals will be used to assess online changes in the ambient glucose concentration and to retrocontrol beta cells. Expertise in beta-cells would be an advantage but is not mandatory.

Required qualifications: We seek a talented and highly motivated individual who enjoys working in a dynamic and multidisciplinary team. The position requires a serious experience in electrophysiology, expertise in beta-cells would be an advantage but is not mandatory. A good knowledge of classical programming languages will be appreciated.

Duration: The position is open for two years starting from autumn 2007 or January 2008 at the University Bordeaux 1. Salary according to regional scale.
