Title: Post-Doctoral Fellow Position Available Immediately
Location: Human Performance Laboratory, University of Calgary, Canada

The Human Performance Laboratory at the University of Calgary
(www.kin.ucalgary.ca/hpl) has a Post-Doc position available immediately for
the Fall of 2007. The successful candidate will primarily work on industry
funded projects related to footwear and other sport equipment. Although
these are industry driven projects, an expectation of the position is to
publish and present selected relevant results in the academic domain. As the
scope of the projects are quite large, a responsibility of the Post-Doc will
be the supervision of one or more technical staff and/or students directly
involved in the study.

Preferred Qualifications: PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Biomechanics, or
related field. Priority will be given to applicants with experience in
research of sport equipment and a working knowledge of CAD and/or FEM.

The Human Performance Laboratory is part of the Roger Jackson Centre for
Health and Wellness Research at the University of Calgary. It houses about
180 scientists and trainees, and has an operating annual budget of
approximately $9.4 Million. The HPL has an outstanding infrastructure,
state-of-the-art equipment, facilities and specialists and thus offer unique
training and research opportunities. The expertise present in the Centre
include Biomechanics, Engineering, Physics, Biology, Exercise Physiology,
Biochemistry, Motor Control, Sports Medicine, Orthopaedics and Anatomy.
