| Temple University Department of Kinesiology Skeletal Adaptation and Development Laboratory Doctoral Student Opportunities
The Skeletal Adaptation and Development Laboratory in the Department of Kinesiology is seeking highly motivated individuals who are interested in pursuing a doctoral degree. Applicants should have a background in kinesiology, biomechanics, cell biology or biomechanical engineering. 10 month position beginning August 2008 Location: Temple University, Philadelphia, PA Position Description: Teaching Assistant (Research Assitantships and/or Fellowship opportunities based on funding availability)

Lab Resources: - Bose Material Testing Machine - Bioquant Histomorphometry analysis software - Microscopy facility - Muffle oven for bone ashing - Diamond band saw - Microplate reader

Qualifications: - Earned master’s degree - Previous experience in research biomechanics/physiology or related field - Interest in mentoring graduate and undergraduate students
Stipend: approx $15,000 + full tuition waiver (Fall and Spring). Temple University offers Ph.D. programs in Integrative Physiology of Exercise Specialization or Athletic Training.
